Pub Quiz Success for Doddington Carnival
21 September 2025 by Brett Rigby

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Pub Quiz at The Three Tuns on Saturday 20th September. The evening was packed with laughter, friendly rivalry, and some brilliantly tough questions that really got people thinking!

We were thrilled to see over 85 people take part, making it one of our busiest quizzes yet! Congratulations to our winning team, Simple Minds, who took home £60.

Most importantly, thanks to your generosity, we raised an incredible £377 towards Doddington Carnival funds. Every pound helps us make next year’s Carnival even bigger and better, from the Parade to the Sports Afternoon and everything in between.

Here's the scoreboard from the evening:

Position Team Points
1 Simple Minds 82.5
2 Ken Dodd's Dad's Dog''s dead 82
3 Odds and Ends 80.5
4 We thought it was Bingo 77
5= Skibidi Rizz 6-7 76
5= Lets Get Quizzikcal 76
7 Kitty Cats 73.5
8 The Hippies 73
9 Oodels of Noodles Plus Ben 71.5
10 We thought it was a Disco 70
11= The Hub Plus One 69.5

Big thanks to our fearless Carnival Committee Chair, Adam, for not only his delivery of the questions and answers on the evening, but also for curating the topics and questions, too! Very much appreciated, Adam, but don't let it go to your head! ;-)

Thank you to Roger from March Camera Club for taking the snaps of the evening! Very much appreciated.

We’d also like to thank The Three Tuns for hosting us so warmly and providing a fantastic venue for the evening. Don’t forget to follow their Facebook page for upcoming events and more community fun.

Thanks again for making the Pub Quiz such a brilliant success - we love running them and will be booking another one in soon and hope that Simple Minds will come back and defend their title!

With your continued support, the Carnival remains a true celebration of community spirit here in Doddington.
