What a brilliant evening we had at the Doddington Carnival Pub Quiz on Saturday night at The Three Tuns.
A fantastic 73 people took part, completely selling-out ALL available tables in the quiz! Each team of up to six players, were all competing for quiz glory while helping raise funds for Doddington Carnival 2026.
Each player paid £4 to enter, with £1 from every entry going into the prize fund and the remainder going towards helping us put on Carnival Day for the whole village.
In all, with the entries and the raffle, we managed to raise an amazing £550 for Doddington Carnival 2026!
QUIZ MASTER EXCELLENCE
The evening was expertly hosted by our very own Carnival Chairman Adam (and all round 'Community Champion'!), who once again delivered a superb set of question rounds. As always, the questions were entertaining, challenging, and occasionally hilarious — particularly the unforgettable “Go / No-Go” round, which certainly kept teams on their toes!
...AND THE WINNERS WERE...
After a closely fought battle of knowledge, the winning team was "Thicky Thicky Dumb Dumbs", which was made up of Nik, Sarah, Claire, Keith, Darren and Brett.
Congratulations to them for claiming the top spot and quiz-night bragging rights! (We expect them to return to defend their title next time!)

THE ULTIMATE EASTER BARROW DRAW
The evening also saw the draw of our Ultimate Easter Barrow Raffle, which had grown into a fantastic prize packed with food, drinks and Easter treats worth over £380.
The winning ticket was drawn during the quiz, and the lucky winners were Tina and Rob from The Three Tuns! This worked out perfectly, as they were able to take immediate delivery of the fully loaded wheelbarrow, setting them up very nicely for Easter.
CAPTURING THE EVENING
We were also joined by Roger, from March Camera Club, who are our Official Photographers for Doddington Carnival. Roger captured some great photos of the evening, helping us document the fun and atmosphere.
