Doddington Carnival Needs You!
Every year, Doddington Carnival brings our village together for a day of colour, community and celebration — but it doesn’t happen by magic! Behind the scenes, a small team of volunteers works hard to make the big day run smoothly… and we’d love for you to join us.
Whether you’re an organiser at heart, a social media whizz, a people person who can help with sponsorships, or someone who simply enjoys getting stuck in on Carnival Day as a marshal or helper — there’s a place for everyone on the team. No special experience needed, just enthusiasm and a sense of community spirit!
By joining in, you’ll be helping to make next year’s Carnival Day even bigger and better — and we promise, it’s great fun along the way.

We want more and more people to have as much fun on Carnival Day as we do - this will only happen by getting the word out to more people. So, we need to up our game on Social Media, like Facebook, Insta, TikTok and more. Are you able to assist us with this?

Do you know your HTMLs?? Are you able to help us with getting more info onto our website more frequently?
Reaching out
Are you able to help us reach out to more local businesses, for both sponsoring and advertising, as well as prizes for raffles and auctions?
Set up & tear down
Of all of our events, setting up the field for the Sports Afternoon takes the most effort. From painting lines, setting out fencing and marking-out stalls, the field is a busy place and we always want help to make the process go quicker and easier.
Event Coordinating
Carnival Day is a busy time, and planning for the next year starts as soon as the previous one finishes. From planning and running the fundraising events to co-ordinating Carnival Parade Floats - we would love your help.
Stalls management
Getting the right mix of stall holders for the Sports Afternoon is a tough job - the more help on this the better the day for the 800+ people that come to the field each year.
Traffic control
When we put the village bunting up, we need to make sure that the traffic is handled... the more the merrier!!
